I purchased these in the black, which are more like brownish/black, which is perfectly ok with me because it has a rustic look to it and it makes them more versatile. I listened to the other reviewers that said they run small, so I purchased a half a size up and they were too big on me. I exchanged them for my normal size 6 1/2 and they fit much better. They felt a little tight in the toe area at first but as I wore them they stretched out. They are well made great quality leather that you can smell as soon as you open the box. I'm very happy with my purchase. Bed Stu is one of my favorite brands. I can see these lasting a long time.
