For the price I can not beat it. I kept looking for a bed with some storage/shelfs on the headboard so that I could keep my nighttime vitamins and things there instead of cluttering my bedside table. I also wanted a bed that was decently raised off the floor to store stuff under it but did not want pull out drawers or a bed that lifted up! I found a few but this was the only one i could find that had wood matching my floors or just looked like it went with the rest of my furniture. I found it easy to put together and did most of it myself but I put things together a lot so maybe that helped. I did not really care about the lights but they are a nice touch. The bed seems sturdy enough mostly metal and the wood is nice looking as well and not cheap looking. Keep in mind that between the headboard and the mattress (unless you have a thick one or also using a box spring) is a decent gap and my pillow does fall through a bit...Also if you have a mischievous cat he can attach your head through this area!!!
