I love this bed. It is beautiful and matches the stain on the oak dresser I already had. The reason I gave it a low rating was the assembly. I don't know if they sent the wrong frame parts or what but nothing lined up. Thankfully my husband can do anything , so he drilled holes in metal and wood and made it work. It took about 4 hours for something that should have taken less than 1. If not for him I would have had to return the entire thing. If you buy it, pay the extra to have it assembled by a professional.I bought this frame because it was inexpensive. I thought the pictures made it appear a little cheap, but I was willing to deal with that. I am happy to say that it does not appear cheap at all!! The wood is very attractive, large thick posts, nice color! It was simple to assemble, I did it myself with mini tools provided!! Love this bed, it works extremely well with a 12” medium firm box mattress and box springs. The box springs provide a more polished look!! I love it!The bed frame was a fiasco because the holes didn't line up.Also, the quasi instructions for the frame, were on the box it came in ..Not "in" but "ON" the outside of the box itself, so don't discard the box....But, that wasn't my biggest concern...Got to the last post for the headboard , only to find out the holes for the screws to attach to frame, weren't drilled out..Makes it kind of hard to attach headboard to frame...It looks great but ...........How does something like that get missed at shop?I like the look of this bed. However it is misleading when purchasing that you are actually purchasing a headboard/footboard and a set of rails. The holes drilled do not line up. You have 2 choices...redrill into the pretty wood posts - not cosmetically appealing or use only one bolt to secure - not structurally safe.I purchased this bed frame for my guest bedroom. It arrived in three boxes on the same day and in good condition. I put it together myself. Tricky part was getting the headboard and end connected to the side frame bars. A extra person could of been a great help with that. Some of the instruction steps make you sit back and think. I did finally get it all assembled. Looks great, sturdy guest bed.I am very pleased with the purchase of this bed. I placed my order based off of other reviews and I am so glad I did. You can not beat the quality for that price. It was very easy to assemble as well. There was one bolt missing but thankfully my husband had one to use. Still gave it the five star because mistakes do happen and the quality is there.I love this bed. It made a beautiful room for me. I love the mixture of wood and metal. It is well made and not at all flimsy. I would recommend it.I bought this bed for my guest room. It looks very nice, and my parents didn't have any complaints.
