To start my review I want to first say I am no expert on pumps & I’m a first time mommy so my BF & Pumping journey has been a lot! I never knew of portable pumps until my partner surprised me with one bc of how tired I was being plugged to the wall & just not being able to multitask with my baby. Therefore, let me just say he paid the same price for the pump as this one cost me and it was HORRIBLE. First, it wasn’t friendly to include extra flange sizes, a nipple ruler (which I didn’t know we had to measure), and the motor always fell off even if I moved slightly forward to get up. I would end up sad and angry because no milk was being collected & I was already struggling with my supply at 3M PP. Anyways, after that I gave up because other pumps were expensive & I felt bad my partner tried to do something nice for me and it didn’t work out. But, then I came across this pump on one TikTok review & based on the reviews (regardless of a few negative ones) I finally ordered it. It was between this or MomMed, and even though that one had so many raving reviews on TikTok it had many bad ones on Amazon reviews and I’m so glad I chose LUMBI!!! I LOVE THIS PUMP. In my opinion, sometimes you can’t always trust brands that have so many influencers especially that collection commission saying there pump is amazing when on the actual Amazon reviews you get the real deal people sharing there real experiences. Also, no pump or company is perfect, but you just have to take a chance and try especially with small own businesses. You never know, I’m extremely happy and that’s why I took my time to write this long review lol!Pros:- The suction is amazing and small chested friendly if that’s ever a concern (which was for me).- It comes with a few flange sizes and you can measure yourself to see what fits best ( which most expensive brands don’t even include). Honestly that should be a given when buying a pump, and LUMBI regardless being a small own business they think of your needs and go above and beyond!-Unlike the most affordable MomCozy’s I love I can set the timer myself and see the small screen without having to keep taking it out , it has up to 30min, 9 suction levels, and 3 modes.- I have my medela pump & for two days I tested my average milk per session, then I did the same with my LUMBI… AND YES IT EMPTIES ME ABOUT ABOUT THE SAME if NOT MORE. Today I pumped after only a 3 hour part & I collected 5.5 ounces I never once got that much with my Medela (about 3-4 oz average). My first picture is today’s third session.- I love that if you have any questions or issues you can message them on Facebook, very attentive and responsive and honest!!!-Just note if you pump on the higher level for more then 20 minutes per session you might run on low battery faster, but I mean I don’t mind it. I think that’s bound to happen with any portable pump unless you are willing to spend $200 or more. It’s no issue for me to plug it right after I’m done, takes less then 2 minutes to do that.Cons- My only small complaint which still doesn’t prevent me from rating it 5 stars is that yes even though I followed the instructions it leaks small drops when I’m pouring it to my bottles BUT nothing major! I don’t experience major leaks when pumping, I also don’t try to move too forward especially if I know I have a lot of milk in there. I feel that’s common with a lot of pumps, nothing is perfect. I think if this doesn’t work for some moms, it doesn’t mean it won’t for others. It definitely worked for me and I feel so happy, and I just can’t say I’m not satisfied with having this new pump added into my life to make things easier.
