The Secure PADS-11 Chair and Bed Alarm Set is a safety device designed to prevent elderly falls and wandering. It alerts caregivers when a patient tries to leave the bed. The alarm monitor is connected to the bed or chair sensor pad via a cord and sounds an alarm when it detects that pressure has been removed. The alarm can be silenced using the tamper-resistant 3-push reset feature or automatically reset when the patient returns to the sensor pad. The set comes with an alarm monitor that features 2 tones and multiple alarm sound levels ranging from 80 to 120 dB. The patient alarm monitor is made of break-resistant ABS plastic and has a tamper-resistant reset feature. It also has a nurse call capability (Nurse Call, AC/DC & Y Adapter Sold Separately), an in-room sound on/off feature (when connected to a facility nurse call system), a flashing alert light, and a low battery indicator light and sound. The alarm monitor is powered by 3 AAA batteries, which are included. An optional AC power supply is available, but it is sold separately. The alarm comes with a protective holder and a one-year warranty. The bed sensor pad is ultra-thin and measures 12" x 30". The chair sensor pad is 12" x 12". Both sensors are made of a latex-free cover material with an unbreakable metal connecting pin. The sensors are incontinent-resistant, foldable for storage, and have a 1-year warranty. Worked really well for my dad after his stroke , needed bed alarm for middle of the night when everyone asleep . It is very sensitive and easy to use . Very loud and annoying as well but does the job of alerting , avoiding possible danger for who ever is getting out of bed on their own .
