I had shoulder surgery on March 4th, and wanted to try this wedge system instead of using a recliner. It pretty much worked exactly as I'd hoped. The only frustration I had was not really because of the wedge, but how it sat on the mattress pad. I have a 2-3" memory foam mattress pad, and the main wedge would ride up my back higher than I liked since my butt was sinking into the mattress a little too much for it. It was an easy fix to just take off the mattress pad while I was using this wedge system. It is extremely comfortable and well-made.
