I bought these to replace the taillights on my '02 Expedition. I'd been using Navigator taillights (for appearance purposes), but missed having working reverse lamps. These look much better than stock, and retain the OEM reverse lamp sockets. If you want LED reverse lamps, you'll have to upgrade them separately. The fit and finish of these is very nearly as good as OEM. Installation took maybe 15 minutes. They plug right into the OEM wiring harness using the existing bulb sockets. Do be careful with the polarity of the plugs, as they are not keyed. If you get them backwards, they won't work. FWIW, the connectors are labeled to help the observant install them correctly. I've seen a few reviews complain that they aren't bright enough, or that it's difficult to distinguish when the brakes or turn signals are on. I haven't found that to be the case. They seem plenty bright to me. If I had any complaint at all, it would be that the black border around the light is wider than I'd like. But that's a nitpick, really. I've had these installed for several weeks. So far, they've survived torrential rain with no evidence of leaking or fogging. If I run into any durability issues, I'll update my review.''Real niiiiice upgrade over the factory lights!! Makes my 98 expo look like 2000 and something! haha! I would have given 5 *'s but there is a little modification needed in order to install the housing. When you take off your old lights there will be a metal bar attached to the body that you will have to cut. Its not hard to do, just grab a pair of metal shears or cutters and your set. I paid $79.00 and now they are $150 still worth the money!!!!The description said this would fit my 97 expedition no problem, however this was not entirely accurate. First off, I had to trim a cross bar support inside where the tail light is mounted. Secondly, the plugs that came on the tail light assembly did not even come close to fitting the existing plug. It was simple enough to clip both plugs and wire directly (combining the two black grounds together). They work and look great, but if they ever needed to be replaced for some reason, I'm going to have to do another direct re-wire. Outside of this, I LOVE the lights. Had it simply been plug and play, they would have gotten a 5. The bit of work I had to do was disappointing at first, which is what lowered my rating.I bought these to replace another set of led taillights after a bunch of the leds went out. They give the old expo a fresh look. They also eliminated the rapid flash turn signal issue that I thought was due to the after market fog light I had installed at the same time as the old taillights.great productI used this to replace a set of altezza lights on my 98 Navigator. My old outer lights were filling with water. The Navigator outer tail lights are the same Expedition's. They are really well made and I was concerned that they would give me a the hyperflash problem but they didnt. I have a friend who has an Escalade and these are as bright as her's.They look and work great! Really helps bring that sinister look to a expedition. My only complaint is that the back up lights should have also been LEDs to make the tail light totally LED lit, but it is not a big deal. This does NOT fit a 1997 Ford Expedition. The Expedition has a cross bar in the middle of the tail light that prevents these from being installed.More importantly, we bought these hoping they would have greater contrast between the running lights and the brake/turn lights than the stock halogen bulbs. But, the brake/turn lights are barely noticeable--a big fail.We returned them.
