Bought this for my dad to help him get up out of bed by himself. It works great for that. Comfort has something else to be desired but we purchased a toddler nap mattress to go over it and it works great. The issue we have is that the wires if not placed properly can get damaged and we actually had the wires pull out of the motor when they got caught. Wires have to go over the frame between the frame and the back rest. Make sure they can't get caught on anything near the bed otherwise the wires will pull out from the motor and render the unit useless. Lesson learned. We did purchase another unit because it did work so well to help give dad his independance.
