The operation and versatility of this unit is comparable to none. I am disappointed that such a great product is designed only for the small audience of trucks using Roll N Lock Covers. Actually, I wish it was available in a “Cargo Manager – Brute”, one you could chain things to, maybe made of heavy duty aircraft aluminum and heavy duty rails with a keyed locking release for working trucks not using covers at all.This unit is designed as a companion for the very nice Roll and Lock cover and the rails are drilled to fit only to the Roll N Lock cover rails, with included hardware, however it will install fairly easy on other Manufacturer’s cover rails, or directly to the bed rails themselves.My preference was the look, of the “Access Limited” Bed Cover, and with very little expense, the Manager rails easily fit to the Access Cover rails.First of all, if you are not up to drilling inside your bed rails, or don’t have a friend who is mechanically inclined, don’t attempt to destroy the Manager and your truck. A custom shop could be the answer.If inclined, make sure the Manager’s rails are (equal distance) but no closer than 4 inches from the tailgate, using at least 4 C clamps (Front, Back and Middle) and the help of a friend to make sure everything is level, clamp the Manager’s rails and/or bed cover side rails your truck’s side rails. 1/4" inch drill through the every other hole in the Manager’s rails completely through the trucks side rail lip (do not drill the lip too high, the captive nuts won’t fit on the back side of the lip). Unclamp the rails and blow off the drill shavings. Buy 1/4 inch Stainless Steel Hardware – Machine Screws, captive hex nuts, spacers and washers to match your bed width – fit the spacers behind the Manager’s rails and tighten it all up! You will be enjoying the Cargo Manager with or without the cover of your choice.Keep in mind that the width between the left and right Manager’s rails “IF” they were mounted directly your trucks bed rails would be one inch short, and Manager would not have the width to lock in the right rail adjustment slots. So if the Manager’s rails are mounted directly to your truck rails the spacers need to be 1/2 thick in on each side, or 1/2 inch minus the thickness of your Bed Cover’s rail.I am confident that thousands more could enjoy these units if Roll N Lock offered generic installation kits.Love a Challenge,Mike (Atlanta, Georgia)still missing some little stainless steel screws . it is not sturdy enough its an ok thingI don’t understand why there are adjustment holes that you can’t use. You set the width to just under your bed width, install a pin, then the handle latches, extending the arm by just enough to tighten the brace to the truck bed, but on the last couple of holes, the pin prevents the handle from latching. I had to add some foam pieces to the end of mine to get it to hold tight. Can’t recommend this.Super easy to install. Took me maybe 30 minutes to get it in. I already had the roll n lock cover on. I like this option better then the Ford divider as it gives me more options for how I want to divide the bed. Ford can only be in two places and with the roll n lock, really only one place. If your on the fence with this, it's worth it. I also am using this with a Bed Rug as you can see and it doesn't interfere with it.Seems ok, hope it holds up if something rams it, was either this or some 2x6s, they'ed be cheaper, but was cheaper on Amazon than Truck store I used to install my Roll n Lock bed cover. Its just an addition to it, they wanted $350 and install, I found on Amazon $211. I installed 4screws on left rail, 4 screws on right, done, attach ends on divider, their tools for that, my screwdriver, gotta finagle it in to the bed, and that gal on ad must work out and be very tall, not heavy, just tailgate down, ya gotta reach and line top 2 rollers at same time , once that's done your good. One item comes with it [T-strip of aluminum] the instructions say nothing about and pic not showing. I figured it out, but must need a mallet to pound it in on bottom of divider.I bought this hesitantly because of the cost but I was tired of having to put a 2x6 across the bed of my truck to keep stuff from sliding, especially when I carried 6 or 8 gas cans. Now when I open the tailgate everything is still right there where I put it and I don't have to climb up and drag it all to the back to unload it. This thing is very easy to install and works as advertised. Easy to adjust and can be tilted up out of the way for longer items. Seems like overkill but it sure works!Easy to install. It can’t hold heavy loads back. Feels flimsy. For the price I thought it’d be more sturdy.Look like a quality item. I could not install it as you must have their brand cover also installed. I have a different brand cover so I could not install the item. Too bad as it has some nice features.Great product, and will work with tonneau covers other than the suggested “roll n lock” cover. To do so does requires some ninjanuity, but all you need to do is build a 1”x1/8” flat bar rail trip to attach it to. Works like a dream!
