Definitely not leather sole, this will ended up wasting Amazon and customers time, also money.However, it is too good looking for me to return it.I probably won't wear it a lot since I wear color shoe more, resoling issue doesn't matter that much, and considered how much I paid. Can't guarantee the durability since I just got it.Anyway, if you like the look and want a rubber sole, get it. It's really nice.I got these to wear for a formal wedding. I am a wide 13.5 and 14 fit perfect. You know how after a few hours your feet hurt......not in these. I wore them for 7 hours and never once noticed them. Great show at a great price!For this review, I have included several photos to support my statements.Bought these shoes as brand new and when they arrived, it was obvious that not only were they used, their wasn't even an attempt to hide it. See photo. New shoes come with fiber booties to prevent scuffs and you can see in the photo what it looked like.Both shoes in the toe area had crease marks as if someone wore them for a while then returned them. There were severe scuff marks on both shoes right out of the box. The bottom of the shoe, was two cut marks in one area and in another, 3 cut marks.On the interior of one of the shoes, there was water staining. Brand new shoes and it is stained (Take a look.)If this had been the first time, I could say it was a mistake. This is the fourth time so my advice to anyone reading this, think strongly if you are ok paying for new shoes but getting used, not to mention the ruined event if you needed new shoes.Shoe fits well. I have trouble with shoes, even Florsheim shoes, that cut into my outer ankle bone because the sides are cut to high. This one does not.
