Now legendary British economic theorist Keynes ((1883-1946) wrote Economic Consequences of the Peace in 1919, objecting to the punitive measures enacted against Germany in the recent Paris Peace Conference, to which he was the principle representative of the British treasury. The End of Laissez-Faire is based on his Sidney Ball Lecture at Cambridge
I will be short in my review (if I can say that i am credible for that). The book gives you a refreshing and very plastic view, about the social, economic and political state of Europe and the World, during the period of prewar Europe and the Paris "Peace". The author is simply a genius. He understands and explains that the laissez-faire economy is too dangerous unchained beast that must be tamed, and he shows how should a farsighted, reasonable and progress-oriented European and global policy should look like. I warmly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in these social fields.
