Hunter 52" Spring Mill Indoor/Outdoor Ceiling Fan with LED Light Kit, Matte Black Finish, Pull Chain Control - Perfect for Patio, Bedroom, Living Room & Covered Porch

First of all, I really love the look of the fan. I wanted it to match my matte black fixtures and rustic decor. The install was pretty easy for my husband being that he’s installed fans before. The hardest part was trying to feed the wires through the light fixture part. The fan runs nice and quiet and functions well. The lighting, however, is not very bright for our room. Luckily we have recessed lighting in the room so the fan light is just a bonus. The blades and cage cover feel pretty cheap, but you can’t tell so it’s not a huge deal. I just felt that $200 is a little steep for the quality.especially since there is no remote.It did not come with the remote as I thought and it appears the posting has been altered to not include the remote any longer. I do not think the lights are dim whatsoever, and it's not an obnoxious bright light either. The fan is quiet. Now, onto the install....do not make the same mistake I made, which was not attaching the blue wire in with the blacks, as I'm not using a second switch to control the light separately. Leaving the blue wire out altogether thinking I did not need it made the light fixture not work at all. Duh. I, too felt attaching the light to the fan was a PAIN due to the tight space and wires in the way. Once installed, it's great. Really does pull down some great air for our vaulted ceilings. I installed on a 27 degree slope using theHunter 26219 18-Inch Original Extension Downrod, Black and it worked perfectly. Spent all afternoon installing one....now for the second.Putting three screws into box were all wiring is crazy, box could be 3/4 of an inch larger would make the world of difference. Love the fan though so quiet and really moves the air. Bought first one for the lania and just bought a second one for the bedroom.My favorite purchase of all time! Amazing look! However, mine did not come with remotes :(This had to be one of the most difficult installs I’ve ever done, but it was well worth it in the end. I went matte black and the fan is absolutely beautiful. It’s completely silent as advertised, and the rod/motor portions were easy to install. It does a good job of cooling the 13’x10’ room I installed it in too. The downsides: It doesn’t come with a remote. I bought a universal Hunter remote, and the receiver is extremely hard to fit into the canopy of this specific model. I’d stick with the company’s recommendations if you want to avoid that, but I wanted black to match the room. The lighting portion was one of the most frustrating installs I’ve ever done. You’re expected to jam a bunch of wires into a tight space, then fit a tiny screw through all of that in order to attach it. Getting the cover plate on it wasn’t anymore fun given the jammed compartment. Also, the lights that come with the fan are incredibly dim. I’ll replace those for better lighting. Overall, the headaches were very much worth the finished product, and it’s a gorgeous addition. Would definitely recommend.Beautiful fans, but did not come as advertised. We ordered these fans because they had pull chains. We aren't a fan of remotes as they essentially leave you with a dead switch. We received the fans and had to wait a month or two to put them in because... life. When we went to install them we discovered neither had pull chains. I wrote the seller and was advised we had passed the 14 days to settle any issues and they affected 20$. We went ahead and built the fans and paired with the remotes. One fan's receiver box is faulty and can only be used to turn the light on and off and we cannot control the speed of the fan. These things are POWERFUL, which we love but they are over our outdoor dining table and will blow stuff around. If we had the cords that were advertised, we could change the speed at the fan. I plan to reach out to Hunter regarding the receiver box.I love the way it looks. However, for note, the "cage" over the bulbs is lightweight plastic and the bulbs are unusably dim. We needed to replace them for brighter ones, immediately.There isn’t a remote control included with this fan.However, we have a separate switch for the fan and light.It was easy to install, looked like the picture. Works great!
