This is a great, solid bed frame. But it is a beast to put together.I would not recommend assembling it alone - I have no patience and chose not to wait for my husband to come home and help.Everything, every single bolt, is screwed in using an Allen key. Make sure you have a high quality one in your toolbox because the one they give you gets chewed up pretty much the first time you use it. I'd also recommend an adapter for Allen keys otherwise your hands will be in pain by the end of this.Alone, this took nearly 2 hours to assemble. My hands were not pleased.The instructions are just pictures with parts labels and one section didn't even label the pieces you needed so I had to figure it out from pictures in later steps.All that being said, it's a great frame. It's a little longer than the frame we had previously, so we had to rearrange a few things but no big deal. It's a great floor bed option, especially if you have a memory foam mattress, because it doesn't sit flat on the floor allowing airflow under the mattress (which is necessary with memory foam). Seems well constructed and the paint was well done. The slats are unfinished and a bit splintery, and one screw hole wasn't fully drilled out, but they are good and secure for the mattress.All in all, I am quite pleased with this purchase and my toddler seems to like it, too. My husband will surely like it as well,, until he inevitably smacks his head on the cross beam... but that's more a him problem than a bed frame problem.If you're looking for a fun floor bed, I'd recommend this one.
