I've owned my 2001 base model mustang for about 10 years. Great car but theres about a bajillion of them out there on the road. Headlights and taillights had both seen better days and were making my car look old and tired. I wanted something to make my car stand out a little more, but also didn't want to mess with any kind wiring, so I ordered these as they stated (and are) "plug and play" but also look unique. These were easy enough for a woman with minimal automotive knowledge to install in around a half hour. I did watch several videos online on replacing taillights beforehand so I understood how to access and remove them from my specific model (the included instructions appear to be fairly generic and not specific to 99-04 mustangs). The new lights fit perfectly and look great! The "smoke" tint on them seems sensible, lighter than my sunglasses tint and my standard bulbs shine bright enough to see clearly. Time will tell how they hold up, but I don't foresee any issues.
