So you work on boat engines, ATV's, Motorcycles huh? Well if you don't have a way to read DVA then you are spinning your wheels. Once you get past fuel, fire, oxygen , and compression you are pretty much just guessing without a meter. After a few meter test you again are just guessing without the DVA adapter (which is required for all digital meters). You don't have to own a Fluke to work on these things I have a $14 Sperry from Home Depot that does the same test that are required to track down the problem. THis adapter fits the common Ohm/Com fittings in just about all meters these days. Used to test Stator output, coils, power blocks, and more. Its the only way to read that measurement with a DVM.
