This product was high quality - starting with the way it is packaged, simple comprehensive instructions, and beautiful end result. Simply remove a thin cellopahne like cover of the underside, there is a tacky (not sticky) membrane that allows you to comfortable position (and reposition) if need to. No residue on your hardwood stair - and the more you use them, the better they look! BEST IS... you can get custom fitted for landing and your house will look complete and not like patch work of different color rugs. TRULY THE BEST!
