I bought this light to go above my dining table. I did read the reviews and ordered dimmable Edison bulbs, which is a must. It's gives such a romantic glow. We received the light and it arrived in good condition. But we did have to tweak it a little. I have 8 ft ceilings so we had to take links out of the chains for it to hang higher. This is easy to do with a couple tools and some strength. Once we got the lights hung they hung too low for my liking. I didn't want any bulbs hanging down so low we can't see the person across the table. I tried to wrap the cord one more time around the beam then it looked too short. So I opted for tie wraps. I gathered the cord at the top of the beam and tie wrapped it to the length I wanted. I did this on all 8 strands. Perfect.
