Product Description

Lund's Genesis Roll Up truck bed cover is a low profile, soft top cover equipped with a marine-grade vinyl topper that rolls up in seconds, allowing easy and quick access to your truck bed and your cherished cargo. The Genesis Roll Up features a patented latching and automatic tension control system to keep your cover tight and looking great all year long. High-quality, tear-resistant black fabric and dual automatic latches make this tonneau cover one of the most secure soft bed covers around. The bed cover's patented adjustment latches provide a tight fit in all climates – it laughs in the face of thunderstorms, scoffs at sleet, and flips double birds to snow. This roll-up cover’s unique adjustment gauges are built into the latch for simple and reliable tension control, so flapping in the wind is a thing of the past. The Genesis Lund Tonneau Cover employs heavy-duty Hook & Loop hook and loop fasteners for easy opening and closing. The Hook & Loop also creates an unparalleled seal to keep the cover taut and tight in almost any conditions. The cover is secured by nylon straps when fully opened, tucked low behind your cab when fully opened. The rip-stop vinyl cover will stand up to abuse even in the open position, that way you won’t have to remove this cover when it’s not in use. The easy, no-drill installation gets this roll-up cover on your truck and ready to go in about 20 minutes. You can practically get it done during halftime. To sweeten the deal, your Lund Genesis Roll Up Tonneau Cover is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty and has over 450 customer reviews to make sure you’re getting exactly what you need.

I’m very happy with it. Light weight and looks good. Super simple to operate and install.Note: I noted picture numbers throughout this review that moved around when my review got posted. I've edited the review to correct them the way I see them, but they may be out of order for others.Installation:This is truly easy to install. It says ten or fifteen minutes and it only takes that long if you include taking it out of package and reading instructions, which were also simple. I always take longer than what the product says because I read the instructions and am careful but this is really that easy.Look:Looks great to me. See pic 5. It fits snug, has a good look and feel. It’s very light weight overall. If I needed to take it off to haul a couch or something I wouldn’t hesitate. I mainly bought this to take trips with luggage that I don’t want to get rained on. Which takes me to...Water sealing:This was my biggest concern for the price range and I’m pleasantly surprised for the fit on my Tundra SR5.I saw a review saying there is a gap at the tailgate. While it appears that way at first glance (pic7), the seal is large and makes contact with the top of the tailgate when you peer in the gap (pic1).I also saw a review stating that the vinyl gets deformed at the folding joints and leaves a gap that won’t water seal. While the vinyl does do this a bit and that’s true (pic3), again if you look in the gap the seal is mostly in contact with the side of the truck bed (pic2). And this seal is well under the cover and unlikely to see much water unless horizontal and forced.Ultimately, there’s nothing better than a test and that’s what I did (pic4). I sprayed the garden hose on it and at it from various angles including simulating directional rain at different directions and somewhat at the gaps to test them. I didn’t try forcing the hose into the gap but I also don’t expect that’s a very realistic weather condition. And I did spray at the gaps from afar.As you can see (pic6) there were very few drops that got into the bed and some of those may have been slung from the seal on the tailgate that sprung back after I opened the tailgate.Overall I’m very pleased and find this to be a terrific value over the much more expensive hard top covers for my needs. My only concern is not about this product at all but about the 2020 Tundra SR5 with bed liner having very little lip on the bed sides for this to attach to. It seems flimsy and I’m hoping it won’t break free. Again, that’s a Tundra issue, not a product issue and it’s all working great for now as is.
