This Florida sky solar light beats everything I could find for the size of the solar collector, the size of the battery bank and the LEDs and lumens of light available. I got the mid-grade model 2300Watt 185000LM light, 105000mAH battery. The large solar collector measures 21" by 26.5".There are literally hundreds of solar lights available but most of them just barely put out a small amount of light and have perhaps one 500 mah battery or less and they charge with a tiny solar collector. It is hard to compare them because the picture given does not show the size. Many of them do not tell you how many lumens or how big the solar collector is, nor how much battery storage is available. I have a few of the cheap ones and they work minimally.This solar light kit comes packaged in a huge box. The contents are all packaged in foam. Not cheap styrofoam, but the foam that usually you find computers packaged in. That is then put in a double corrugated box which is then put inside another double corrugated box. And if you order a two pack they are put inside yet a third double corrugated box. This is so big it has a sticker on the outside that says "team lift."As great as the packaging and components of this kit are, there is some room for improvement. I live in the Pacific Northwest and have torture tested this kit thoroughly. Winds frequently gust to over 30 mph. The solar panel is so big it acts like a wing vibrating and causing stress on the mounting components. The light and battery part is so well made and fairly heavy that it bounces up and down in the wind it really adds to the stress at the mounting location.. I had to wait for a non windy day in order to mount this kit to the front of my garage. The solar collector portion reaches just above the roof line and catches all the wind. I have added a couple of pictures to show how I improved the two weakest areas of this mounting kit. I also added a few washers, 1/4" and 5/16", in places where they were needed to make things stronger. I live a quarter mile from the ocean and everything outdoors rusts. Even stainless steel rusts. So I put oil/grease on every threaded surface. I sprayed paint with a rattle can on the inside of the metal tube as they never seem to paint inside of those things. I also added a couple of wires from the "wing" to the main pole to help tie things down in the wind. House wiring 14 gauge single solid copper wire seemed to work the best. It is easy to tighten and wind up.As great as the light, batteries, and solar collectors are, it could use stronger mounting components. It is still a bargain for the price I paid.There is a website called footprint hero. It will calculate the optimum solar angle at your particular longitude/latitude. I'm at latitude 47°, so it calculated for summer, the best angle was 19° In winter the best angle was 49°. Spring, fall and overall average would be 34°. This would be for a typical collector. I reasoned I needed a more optimum angle in the winter months than in the summer. In summer the days are longer, the nights are shorter, and it is sunnier, so I don't need as much battery reserve. So anyway, I set my angle for 40° for more optimal winter solar collection.The provided holes for the tilt angle would only let me set it at 20° or 50° and I wanted somewhere in between so I did a small amount of filing of the holes to make them just barely oblong, you can hardly see it and that allowed me to get the 40° angle I was looking for.I have an app on my Android phone called "bubble level" to measure the number of degrees from horizontal.The light works great and stays on all night, even in the darkest days of December when the days are gray and solar collecting is minimal. I have a few other cheap solar lights that do not even come on when there are gray rainy days.I will soon be putting up more of this exact light in my yard.
