I was a little wary about this item, due to its cost, relative to other covers. Despite that, I ordered it and it arrived within a few days. It was well wrapped and came in undamaged.Installation was easy and took less than 30 minutes. Half of that was unpacking and reading the instructions.Very unique and simple design. The hardware provided appeared a little light for the application, but snugged the cover down onto my 2500 HD tightly. I'm impressed by the engineering, as the installation was very straightforward and simple. Haven't driven it at highway speeds yet, but it appears to be solid and sturdy.Will report back with any issues...Update 7/9/2023:So, I had the occasion to use this item more over the last week. Most of the time, I do not use the bed of my truck. I use it only occasionally to move stuff. Most of the time it remains locked and closed, simply securing the few tools I leave in the back of my truck.While I still like the design of the locking mechanisms (two on each flap), I would not care for the design as much, if I had to frequently open and close the flaps on the cover. As mentioned, each flap has two clamps (one on each side), and it would get old quickly to have to go from side to side to get to the clamps, if I were opening and closing frequently. If you open and close your cover frequently, I would recommend a model with one handle, and which locks the middle flap down (and releases it), with the pull of a single handle.One other minor issue I have had is that one of the bumper pads mounted on the underside of the rear-most flap has fallen off. These two bumper pads, about 1.5 inches in depth, and which are there to protect the flaps from resting on each other when the cover is fully opened, appear to be affixed only with a cheap adhesive. I live in Texas, where the summer sun beats down on and heats up everything. My belief is that the underside of the cover gets so hot from the Texas sun, that it defeats the adhesive and causes it to fail. If you live in a northern state, this may not be your experience. I plan to rectify this issue by using a strong epoxy .Overall cons and pros:Cons:Cumbersome locking and unlocking process.The front flap does not fold up so, even fully open, only 2/3 rds of the bed is available for large objects.The aforementioned adhesive used on the foam bumpers.Pros:Easy installOverall quality of materialSeals tightly - i haven't found any water in the bed, even after going through auto carwashes frequently.Value for price - way lower in price than other hard aluminum bed covers.
